Back on the forum and check out this suspension project im working on!
Hey guys, ive been away a while trying to sor out some personal crap with a chick (figures right). Anyways...all thats over and its time to get posting again!
Here's my current project. Im upgrading the front suspension and brakes. Im using all BMR suspension components with QA1 dual adjustable shocks and stiff cornering springs. Brakes are 6 piston wilwood with huge ass two piece wilwood rotors. Check it out: ![]() this is part of my garage floor AFTER i cleaned up...lol ![]() Wilwood brakes...can't wait to get these bad boys on!!!! ![]() kerosene heater....a must for winter garage projects in the new york cold! ![]() here are the upper A arms mounted to the A arm support brackets. Notice how nice a new the brackets look??? I spent HOURS grinding the rust off them (car is a 94), primed them and painted....ahhh like new. Can't buy just this piece from GM so had to put the time in to make them new-like. ![]() OK here are the almighty QA1 shocks and springs all set up in the factory spring boot. Man..these things are AMAZING....They make ajustments a breeze for ride height. Can't wait to fiddle with the dual ajustments once they are installed. U don't need a spring compressor to get the springs on these as they use a large spanner wrench system to compress the spring. Don't forget to buy the spanner wrench!!! Also, get the optional shims that have little rollers bearings in them...cheap part that makes life EASY. These shocks are retardedly expensive...now i see why! here is the adjustable lower A arm installed. Notice i ground the rust off the K member and primed and painted that as well...over spray...ah who cares... If i see anymore rust...im gonna wonder if this is a re-badged ford. ![]() my poor bird up on jack stands....not a good look...but it will be worth the wait!

Awesome man, I am sure that will make a nice improvement. Also, I don't think the Kerosene heater is a must right now. Its been super warm here besides a few chilly days last week.

Dude, instead of the QA1's, you should have invested in the Air Ride system. Test and tune with regular suspension can take weeks to get just right, but the air ride can be dialed in, in just 2 days, with preset settings for street and track. But that's just me.

Re: Back on the forum and check out this suspension project im working on!
alright..time for an update....all this warm weather has been a blessing to get this job done comfortably.... check it out....
![]() here are my spindles..finished at the machinest and back from paint... ![]() close up of some further cutting i had to do after i took a closer look at the caliper brackets. They do a crappy job showing you how much to take off the spindles in the wildwood brake kit instructions. A dremel worked very well on this little task. Then i put some touch up paint on them and good to go. ![]() spindle mounted up ![]() ![]() brakes and rotors mounted up... i gotta tell yeah...as much as i hate spending this kinda money...these parts are totally worth it. I just realized how easy it is to change the pads on these rotors! You remove a small bolt and retainer....and the the pads slip right off...eliminating the need to take the caliper off the mount! excellent! now i just gotta hook up the brake lines, bleed the system, hook up the sway bar and its off to the alignment shop!
