no power to temp sending unit

I have a 96 sunfire and there is no current coming out of the positive side of the connector. The orange/black wire is the positive and the yellow is the negative. In the chilton the yellow is the negative wire and the brown is the positive. What is going on? Help would be great. The fan continously runs when the car is running and it shouldn't since it is electric.

Re: no power to temp sending unit

well, if I weren't rebuilding my car, I'd have the book here and could try to help you. But those damn deer are ruining everything for me now.

Let me do some research, and try to get back to you with some info. best I can say right now, is look on the diagram for a fusable link. you may have an issue with another sensor, or a bad connection at the ECM, which can happen due to the location of the module.
