Possible 1990 GP owner

Im looking at a 1990 Gran Prix for my sister as a first car Its got 140,000 miles on the car and has clearcoat issues, thats all the owner mentioned was wrong with it, while talking to him on the phone.

I've looked over several threads pertaining to the 1990, but i figured asking would yield better results.

What are the issues that 1990 GP have?

Fuel system?
Ingnition?
UIM???
Trans?
etc......

Re: Possible 1990 GP owner

Any car that is 18 model years old will start to develop issues, but the engine/trans in that year cars is pretty dependable. My 91 GP winter beater I had was well over 240k, and ran perfect when I sold it. The rear disc brakes and rear suspension are the the biggest known issues.
