$2500: Spend it on car or a vacation?

Yeah, I haven't had a vacation since 1998. Need one badly.

However, vacation memories are fleeting. Rims, toys, chrome exhausts last longer. What would you do?

well, if you go on vacation alone, the memorys go fast, ifyou go with someone, or better yet, a big group, it kicks ass and you all rember it forever, even if it was a not so good time, you still look back at it fondly (San Fran, the rocks off the coast etc)

Whereas if you fix up a car, get yourself dirty, and have fun with it, you can hop in and go, and probally (god willing) keep it going for quite a while. Also, youll have memories of working on it and when you first took it out, not a big vacation, but one that starts everytime you turn the key.

$2500 isn't enough money for a vacation. Its not pocket money but it wont get you there in style.

I couldn't do the trip for under $3,000... so I decided not to go. Now I'm so glad because Paris had the worst snow storm in years. There was an article in the paper about a couple that got stuck there for weeks.

Now I can buy that stainless exhaust system and some nitrous:smoka:
