LSE Questions

Just bought a 2002 LSE a few months back and wanted to know at what point does the timing belt need changing ?

Also my CD player shows an error message when I try to switch over from the radio to the in dash CD player. Have any idea what the problem may be ?

Re: LSE Questions

no timing belt - timing chains. They usually outlast the life of the engine - there is no documented interval.

what error does the display show on the player?

Re: LSE Questions

Thanks for the reply.

When I select CD from the media control on the steering wheel I can choose anyone of the 6 carousels and a message pops up that says CD ERROR ...

Not sure if there is a cd stuck in the player or the system has just simply malfunctioned altogether. However, the radio still plays with no problem.

Re: LSE Questions

Try getting a flashlight and looking into the CD slot. Occasionally one gets stuck in mine and you can see the edges of it in the slot. If so, take a piece of wire (like a thin coat hanger) and bend a hook on one end. Fish the stuck CD out via the hook and the hole in the middle of the CD.
