Question Code 17

Alright, Im sure this is probably a repeat question, but i tried searching for it, and just found out what it is, not any way on fixing it. I know Code 17 is the Speed Sensor. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I think it is probably from me wiring the 88 Gauges in my car. Hasn't really seemed to make a big deal yet, but would like to get that check engine light out.

Speed sensor: it tells the computer how fast you are going. With out getting into a long explanation of the workings of it.

Alright, finally got to check my speed cable and it was tight, tried checking my wiring on my gauges, just to make sure none of them came loose, and they are all fine. Resetted my ECU and I still get the some code. I think I might have fried that part of my ECU or something, because I know I have fried one of my switch power wires on my gauges, and just figured I fried that wire with it.

Will this code eventually bring something bad upon me? or will I be fine?
