Jeep Colour

Hi, I'm building a Jeep Wrangler, and want to do it in Jeep's Hunter Green Metallic. The Tamiya Metallic green is far too bright and 'pop' onthe eye to match this colour, does anyone know of a suitable substitute?

If there's no commercial colours redily avalible, I'm going to try my hand at mixing TS cans for the first time, Maybe adding a Dark Metallic Silver/ Mica or even black to the green will tone it down somewhat.

Re: Jeep Colour

Hold up there friend.

I own a Wrangler and found factory colors in cans at this place: http://www.jeepsrus.com/jeep_inventory.php

I got my Patriot Blue color coded and in a spray can for like $12 bucks

This is defintiely the route you want to go.

Well, I used it on my Jeep, so I couldn't tell you. I do have a Wrangler that I am converting from a 77' Cj to a 2000 TJ but it is far from paint.

It is a factory automotive paint and with primer I am pretty sure it would work just fine. A lot of people here use auto paint without problems.

Good luck on the shipping over seas, i hope they can because of legalities though?!?!?!?!
