OBDII code p0401

Has anyone had this code cause a no start condition? My car currently cranks over acts like it wants to fire but does not. This is the code i am getting.

EGR won't cause the car not to start.

that's what i thought thanks. Looks like i have bigger fish to fry then. Possible timing belt and water pump.
