Causes of squeaky brakes?
My front brakes were becoming worn, so i replaced the pads and machined the rotors and uh..well now they're squealing. I've done this before(only once on the Camaro), and have never run into this annoying little problem. Any ideas?

Re: Causes of squeaky brakes?
Yea, thry taking the pads off and clean the claiper real good and put some of that pad grease on it. Grease the guide pins also.(The "pins" the caliper slides on)

Re: Causes of squeaky brakes?----re-direct will be re-moved in 2-3 days
I'd double check and make sure the wear indicators aren't bent, or and locating clips haven't dislodged themselves, just to be sure.
As for the "goo" I put it on the back of the pads mounting plate to elimate any rattle potential. Just me, but I would never put anything inbetween the friction material of the pad and the rotor |
