Wire Change Complete

No big deal for most of you probably, but i just changed my plugs and wires without incident. The plugs were a little corroded as i thought, and now my engine is running very smooth. Plus the blue Ngk's look good under the hood!

to combine two posts in one, here is a couple pics of my system that i had promised to post but forgot...

cool man. you go with platinums? coppers? iridiums?

always good to hear feedback on plugs since its sort of a debate issue.

Re: Wire Change Complete

I went with the platinums. I was thinking about using the coppers because ive heard so much about them, but I'm NA so i went with platinum for the longer life.

I was surprised by how easy it was really, It looked like a ton of work to get to the back plugs but then I looked at Erik Gross' page and that helped alot. So now Im waiting on some money and then I'll get a throttle body spacer.

Ngk seem to have the qbest wires for fit and life too, so I always use them, not suer how they are on domestic cars admitedly though.

Re: Wire Change Complete

nice system. i like how the sub box takes up very little space in the trunk, and you still have plenty of cargo room left.

don't waste your money on a throttle body spacer or intake plenum spacer. you won't gain anything noticeable. instead, save up for something else like a downpipe.

Re: Wire Change Complete

Off-Topic: liquid, I was wondering if you could do me a big favor....could you take some more pictures of your interior? Seats, the top, doors, etc etc. I have a beige interior and really wanted a darker one, either black or a greyish one like yours, but I don't know if it'll be worth the money/work. So yeah, if you could take a couple of shots for me that would be great. If not, no biggie. Thanks man.

Yeah, I looked at lots of enclosures, but most of them took up almost the entire cargo area. So I bought this one, and its worked out very well. Sounds good too, for really cheap Dual subs. But its a very balanced system with the smaller amp powering two fusion brand 6x9's< I really should look into a capasitor though, but I got good at wiring that stuff and it started to bore me.

I didnt think I wantede a throttle spacer, but I saw the dyno chart on the speed channel when they put one on a NA Mustang and there were decent gains. I really want the long headers from 3sx, and also to redo my leather, but both cost about 650, so it will be awhile before i can save up for that unfortuately.

Re: Wire Change Complete

LOL Yeah, I really wanted to change my carpet and upper trim to either black or gray and then do a two-tone for my seats. It's just I don't have money to change the whole interior so I may just get a two-tone setup for the leather seats since my leather is all super old. Hehe

Were the pictures on top taken with your phone? Because if so that's actually pretty darn good.
