Chevy Wheels!
Hi,
Just fitted a set of Chevrolet wheels on my Frontera (Rodeo lwb). Got them a snip on ebay for £200 (about 400 dollars?) brand new, with brand new Bridgestone Duellers. They fitted so well they could have been made for the car, they seem lighter than the standard Isuzu alloys and the car rides way better. I'll post some pics tomorrow, see what you think.

Re: Chevy Wheels!
Bridgestone Dueler's - cool! Are they the Dueler A/T's D693 (IIRC) or the Dueler Revo's?
I've had both on the Rodeo - but, the Revo's are SPECTACULAR!! When my Yok's are done with on the Rodeo, I'm pretty positive I'm going back to the Revo's on this truck. I have Yok's on 3 different trucks, and they've been fantastic on all, but I feel I had just the extra edge of grip on ice especially with the Revo's. Would have bought the 2nd set of Revo's but they were soooo expensive; can't afford to put them on all 3 trucks, but 2 are 4x4's, so the Rodeo (4x2) should get the extra gripping edge of expense.

Re: Chevy Wheels!
Hi,
The tyres are Dueller H/T's, The wheels are about 4 pounds lighter per hub! They have absolutely transformed the handling! I won't be using Goodyear Wrangler again, imho they are way too soft and always seemed to give a "mushy" ride. Here's a pic:

Re: Chevy Wheels!
Hey those wheels look great!
And if they ride good too - double bonus!!! Thanks for sharing the picture. How many Fronteras are on the road there? Better looking to me than any Land Rover! Tom

Re: Chevy Wheels!
Wow, that's a nice truck!
Agreed, I will never use Goodyear again either. I too had a set.

Re: Chevy Wheels!
I've had nothing but the Bridgestone Duelers on my Rodeo. Last a long time and provide a nice ride.

Re: Chevy Wheels!
Hi,
There's a fair amount of them around, they got a bit of a bad reputation as the previous model range suffered quite a bit from reliability problems due to bad quality control at vauxhall. Vauxhall got that sorted and this particular model is now quite "sought after". It's a 2.2 Diesel 16 valve turbo, 5 speed 4x4. Full leather interior with heated seats, factory styling pack (Brush guard with lights, side steps etc). I had the ecu re - mapped and the engine gives around 20 - 30 hp over stock. It's actually quite "Green" (There's a big anti 4x4 movement happening over here due to a few totally misinformed idiots). I run it on 50/50 Bio Diesel mix. It'll cruise all day at 70 and return 40+ MPG! (Best so far 43 mpg) I think a U.K. gallon is a little more than in the U.S. so think it would be around 34 ish? Spares are expensive here so I usually order Rodeo parts from the States, even with shipping I normally save 50%! Been TOTALLY reliable, never had a moments problem with it.
