Is this a fair price for a 2000 si
I am in the market for a car with good gas milage and some power. I am looking at a 2000 si for 8,000 dollars. The only catch is it is a theft recovery vehicle. I am not sure if that goes on the title or not, so give me some input. Thanks in advance!

Re: Is this a fair price for a 2000 si
$8000 is a really good price for an SI, most of them still run for over $10K. Just make sure it's in good enough condition mechanically, look it over well before you buy it, espically since it's a theft recovery.

Re: Is this a fair price for a 2000 si
Here is what i found out. The motor and tranny were stolen out of it. The new motor had 70 thousand miles on it. My only question is how will the theft title affect the resale value of the car?

A theft title will show that the car was in a chop shop before and the major componets (engine, trans) might not be the origonal. This might decrease the value somewhat, yes. IMO it's better than having a salvage title.

I might go look at a 99 si in a few days. Same price for a bit more miles. Also should i consider looking at a gsr? Im sure anything will feel better after owning a 95 Mustang, V6 Auto.
