Re: want to turbo b16a1 in 91 hatch. NEED HELP!!!

well i would highly recommend NOT using the VAFC. Convert to OBD1 and run something like Crome. You could run OBDO Hondata...which is going to be about the same price.

Other than that, what kind of questions do you have?

by the way, if you buy that kit above, you will be banned from the site permanently...that is a pile of shit that is going to break in no time....

Re: want to turbo b16a1 in 91 hatch. NEED HELP!!!

dont use Megasquirt....there are so many other good programs available for Hondas. I could see using that if you had some other car like a mid 90s Dodge, but there is a wide selection of free programs for Honda. All you would need to do is convert to OBD1 (which means buying a conversion harness and ECU) and then get your car tuned on Crome. You WILL have to get your car professionally tuned if you want it to last....

I made 275whp safely for 5 months before i decided to upgrade my setup...that was on the stock engine too!

Re: want to turbo b16a1 in 91 hatch. NEED HELP!!!

yeah you could do it for that amount of money...you need to read up on things first so that you can budget accordingly.

I'll save you some time...search through this thread and you will find all of the answers you need. There are threads on there for everything. One thing that you cant forget to budget for is a clutch, exhaust, and tuning....

Re: want to turbo b16a1 in 91 hatch. NEED HELP!!!

well then you can count that off the list....you should be able to easily boost it for less than $2500. I bought all new parts and did mine w/ a clutch, tune and exhaust for $2600 approx....

Re: want to turbo b16a1 in 91 hatch. NEED HELP!!!

i'm running stock axles....i have a 99 GSR....therefore i would say you're fine because they've seen a lot of abuse

yes my setup was on a GSR...i'll list it here in a little while, but as for the exhaust, 3" works well....
