Re: testors airbrush
You end up paying more for propellant. Testors mighty mini compressor is below $70. There should be some other options. Try searching the forum by "compressor" and "testors compressor."

Re: testors airbrush
I had an A370. Died after few use... I switched to Badger Anthem and now I have an Iwata HP-CP... All I can say is Aztec airbrush are toys...
With 70$ you can have a nice airbrush (a real one. not a plastic toy), but you will still have to stick to propellant can, which are as expensive as spraycan... My Advice: Get a Badger, Paasche or even a low end Iwata airbrush.. Stick with propellant (if you have to) then buy a cheap compressor later. It's much easier to learn airbrushing with good tools than bad one. Seriously, I don't even know why I ordered a second airbrush after using the Astek.. I was very disappointed but still gave it a go. I loved my Badger 155 (anthem) and for about $50, you will be really pleased too. I started to really like airbrushing so I upgraded to Iwata HP-CP at $150... It's the most awesome tool I have even used, but I wouldn't recommend it as a first time airbrush... Edit: Forgot.. Don't spend $70 on an Astek airbrush (like the A370 I first got with paint) You will find the exact same airbrush for less than $30 on ebay (it's not testor name, but it's the same toy) Edit2: Oh, I'm sure this thread will be another Aztek war just like the last time

Re: testors airbrush
I have an Aztek 470 and it does it's job well, at least the kind of things I do.
Mostly one colour or maybe mask up and put on another one but no freehand airbrushing. Still I can't recommend anybody to buy one, why's that? Take a look at the pictures below and see what happens inside the body of it. This is something that will occure sooner rather then later and I is one for sure that is tired of having to turn my airbrush in and wait for a replacement now and then. So what to do then, well I don't care for the warranty anymore and dissassamble it myself for cleaning now a days even if I no longer can make any claims. My is, buy another airbrush! I know I will as soon as the money will let me.Oh, by the way. I had my 470 for about ten year's now and had to deal with this mess a lot of times now. ![]() ![]() Niclas |
