Hiya lately my car has been overheating, and completely out of water, so i filled it up with 50/50 antifreeze and water and i started seeing coolant leaking. First i thought it was the water pump or thermostat or radiator. So today i wanted to see where the leak was coming from, so i left the engine running for about a hour and noticed a puddle of green liquid under. But I noticed it was leaking from the right side under the hood, near where to put in the coolant. If anyone one has any ideas on what could be leaking that would be great. thanks

Re: 2002 Dodge caravan Leaking coolant??
First of all, what size engine do you have and how many miles?
Coolant leaks can come from cracked rubber hoses, of which there are many under the hood that carry coolant, or from a leaking water pump or a leaking radiator. What you need to do is crawl underneath and see where the leaking coolant is coming from. Start from the puddle and work backwards. Let us know what you find. Given that the leak appears to be from the right (passenger) side of the engine compartment, I would look first at the water pump. Knowing your engine size is important, since the water pump is in different places on different engines.
