'95 Aurora-Transmission Leak

Developed a large leak, basically overnight. It appears to be the torque converter seal as it's pretty much a steady stream as soon as the car is started. I've read it here somewhere but can't find the information now..so, how hard is it to drop the transmission? Thanks.

Re: '95 Aurora-Transmission Leak

Well, since no one responded I'll tell you how it is to pull the tranny out of this vehicle. It sucks, no 2 ways about it. All in all, about 25 hours of labor to replace a $4 converter seal. I don't advise doing this unless you're long on patience and short on smarts because it's not an easy task. To quote the man at the transmission shop where I went to have the converter tested for leaks, "You took the tranny out by yourself?" Me, "Yup", Tranny Guy, "All by yourself and flat on your back??", Me, "Yup", Tranny Guy, "You're F****g nuts! NOBODY does that!!!" End of story.
