|
How far does a keyless remote work?
I put in a brand new battery the a few weeks ago, but im still only getting like 30 feet max on keyless remote, whether i pop the trunk or open/close the doors. What can I do to get the remote working on a longer distance? thanks

 i think 30ft should be plenty far.

Because I want something that works from farther off, like my alarm doesnt even work if im more then 25-30 feet away. there are after market ones that can go like 1500' or somethign like, but they cost a little too much, i guess im stuck with this

I just like to be able to do it from a distance , like if im walking away from the car and forgot to lock my doors then I wouldnt have to go into the distance of 30 feet and lock my doors. everyone has their preference, and this is mine.

Well supposibly the fillings in your teeth act as an antena to give you a little more range I have done it & it has added 5-20' depeding on whats around you!
Try it you won't loose anything if it doesn't work o'h well.

the one my buddy has will start the car, open the trunk or doors from 1/4 mile away i was like shit. It has a minature antenna on it the pulls out about 1 1/2inches. i was like thats hilarious

Yeah I have see those but they looks so cheesy with the antena, that I have stayed away from them. They just look ghetto!
 It some good range 1/4mile wow  but they just look like they were bought from the flea market!To each his own I guess!

It wouldnt do anything undfer my mouth. I have no fillings... Thats right, My teeth are perfect
I think 30 ft. is the norm for most stock applications. I would like some range, though.

Most factory remotes are 50 feet or less. Holding the remote under your chin will dramatically increase range in most cases. It is not the fillings in your teeth, the remote uses your body as a sort of antenna.
More range can only be accomplished through an aftermarket system.

Heres an Idea you know the usless 2nd antena the infiniti/nissan cars use on thier windshiel& rear window how about hooking that up to your factory/aftermarket alarm?
well let me know if that sounds like an idea that will work! Ok so its your body/people kept telling me it was your fillings! Go eat some candy!!!!!!!!!!!
