99 Venture Water Pump
Just changed out my 99's water pump.
Can you say cake walk! Took less then 1 hour. This van is made for working on the water pump. The guy at the part store said oby those vans are a pain to work on. I said really, do you know that? He said I do not know about the water pump but everything else is tough to work on. 22 bucks and one hour later new water pump ![]() Hammer |

Re: 99 Venture Water Pump
I would agree on the water pump, easiest one I have ever done and paid about the same price. Serp. belt, idler pulley, and belt tensioner, radiator drain plug, pretty easy stuff, however I have issue with the following:
spark plugs air filter alternator upper radiator hose (clamp on the radiator, how to you even get to it?) I have replaced the air filter a few times and it quite an undertaking for a typically simple maintenance item and don't know if I even want to tackle the plugs or alternator when it dies. I wanted to change the radiator hoses when I did the water pump but I couldn't figure out how to get the hose off of the upper radiator hose, where it goes into the radiator. Three out of the four look like a cakewalk, but that one, oh my!! |
