95 vs 99

so im riden on prien lake st just cruisen
and i spotted a 95 civic at the red light. with about 7 vtec stickers .
(apperantly he didnt know where it went so he put it all over)
i look to the side when i get up to him and wave and rev like what up lets do this.
he revs and the light hits green. we were dead even till about 10 miles an hour and he was in my rear view by 20 miles. :o
VTEC?
not sure. what are the spec on 95 vtec/95 stock. and a 99 dx????
was a pretty fun race.
