What is involved in tune up for 2001 Sable LS?
I have a 2001 Mercury Sable, and it has 157,230 miles. It still has the original factory wires on it, and is now sort of surging lightly when going up a hill. I looked at the engine, and it looks like a nightmare to get to the plugs and wires near the firewall. Does anyone know what is involved in doing this tune up? Like how to get the three near the firewall without tearing the upper intake/plenum off? If there is a special tool, or anything? Has anyone done this tune up before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take air filter box and mass air sensor hose off and out you can reach him behind get the 3 plugs on firewall
