06 rousch run in...

I was sitting at a light, waiting to cross the highway when i see a nice lookin silver 05 or 06 mustang cruise by... so i made a very illegal right turn and took off after him. caught up to him a mile or so down the highway and we started messin around. first time we were doin bout 60. He went WOT first but suprisingly he didnt pull on me... i imagine he was at the top of 2nd or bottom of 3rd... anyway, he slowly put about a car on me up to about 90 or so. Caught back up to him and we talked and then he told me to follow him. After about 10 minutes we get to a nice straight back road... he says a 25 mph roll so i say ok. We get rolling and i honk 3 times and then all i can hear is a loud ass scream, and i know its not me cuz my shit isnt near that loud. once he stopped spinning he put about 4 cars on me on our way to about 110ish. Stopped and talked to him and it turns out it's a rousch. I was glad cuz i knew damn well a GT didnt beat me that bad... anyway, it was a mean car, and even though he walked me, its always fun too see a nice car in action. (P.S. he was suprised a grand prix could keep up as well as i did haha)

Re: 06 rousch run in...

mmm roush. i love those. i would probably take one over the gt500. just my preference. its lighter and is boosted and has a better suspension. it has less power (425) but i think that could be changed easy enough. the 4.6 is really tough.

oh yeah... nice race lol.

Re: 06 rousch run in...

Don't they also have a V6 roush and a Non supercharged Roush as well?

Re: 06 rousch run in...

i believe you can get the apperance package for the v6, not sure on the suspension package. but you can get a roush with everything but the supercharger for the v8.

Re: 06 rousch run in...

Yeah, I would take the Rousch over the Shelby, I like the looks better, better suspension, and weighs so much less. The GT500 is a pig, but I'm sure it's more moddable

Re: 06 rousch run in...

Except he got the facts on the Shelby wrong... it's a 5.4L instead of 4.6, and it makes 500hp rather than 475hp.

He must of filmed this before the cars release back when it was rumored to be 475hp.

And Shelby does mess with the suspension and brakes, it's just that he was driving a 3900-4000lb convertable model which, well... sucks.

Re: 06 rousch run in...

I would certainly rather the shelby. The roush is nice but its a hot rodded GT. There are tons of components on the shelby that are just different rather than modified. Different motor, different transmission. Different body panels for support. The shelby is a beast.

Re: 06 rousch run in...

If I was going to go fairly deep into modding, i would get the shelby, but if I was keeping it stock or fairly stock, then the rousch has it for me.

And that's why they weigh in at 3700+lbs in stock trim.

That's stupid weight.

Re: 06 rousch run in...

It would have been much closer if the Shelby wasnt a convertable.
