Some Mods?

Modifications Help
I am about to start seriously moding my car... and some of the things i need to take care of is the Speed Limiter... and would any of these products work? (car= 1992 Pontiac Grand Am SE V6 3.3L)
http://www.sportcompactonly.com/par...&pl=713&p=78190

http://www.sportcompactonly.com/par...&pl=703&p=74227
i mean i did find these products with my car info entered for the search...

and also, i been looking at throttle bodys, and i noticed the ones taht are 62mm, and then i found one that is 70mm, would that cause any problems for my car, like when i need to go back and get it checked, like any emmisions problems? or noise problems?

http://www.sportcompactonly.com/part...l=2252&p=84075

and does any one know where i can buy some Headers for my car? or would i have to get them custom made?

also, does any one know where i can get other mods for my car, like upgrade cam shafts, pistons, etc.?

i am having a hard time trying to find parts for my car, i havent been able to find many places that sell engine components for my car, i was even checking out that thread that has all the products for the Pontiacs, but havent found any for my year, or my engine model (yet...)

thanks for all the help!

Re: Some Mods?

see this thread hop up your GA for performance parts
the speed comtroler looks like its for Nissans and Toyotas. The throttle and speed controler will not even be noticed by the tech doing the emissions and should not effect the emmissions levels during their tests.

Re: Some Mods?

Welcome to AF Djpac !

Thiers isnt much out thier for your 3.3L unfortunately.

Now to answer a few of your questions....
The 70 mm TB will not fit in any way shape or form.
Its for a V8 motors.

62mm is about as big as you can get with the stock intake manifold.

As far as headers check here http://www.headermania.com/
They dont list them but Email them and ask if they can get you ones that will work.
I had some on my 93' GA, but I made them from scratch.
Was not fun, but the end results were disirable

As far as internal parts you'll just have to check parts stores or online to find what you need for your 3.3. Thiers parts out thier you just might hav to pay a good amount of money for them.

IMO in the long run you could hav bought a newr ride thats already better handling, faster, nicer.

Oh Ya,
to remove the speed limiter some one has to either change the ecm or Hack into it with a scan tool made for this and raise it.
The limiter is never really removed, usually only raised to a higher level.

My 93' 3.3 was turbo'd running around 8-10psi.
Ran in the 11-12's in 1/4 easily, about 145-150mph top speed.
Had around $3k in the motor, then wrecked it in a stuper

Re: Some Mods?

sorry about the double post, i was confused when i realised that my first post was under the OldsMobile section.

And thanks for all the help, and the reason why i have this car was because i got it for cheap, using it as a SPL comp car, and eventually i will change cars for SPL within the next year or two, and i wanted to upgrade this car and maybe put it on a strip...

thanks again!

Re: Some Mods?

Summit Racing is online and has several
I would try EBay too because the prices are better but watch for deceptive sellers.

What type of modifications are you seeking though? Performance or Customization?

performance... i mean customization is cool and everything, but it isnt on the top of my list right now... it mean the interior is pretty decent with some custom painted accents, and the exterior could use some work, but i dont want to do any of that intill im sure of the date i get my car repainted...
