Hey guys, I'm just wondering if there is some sort of buyers guide for the 2.7t model A6? Are these cars reliable? Is the drive train solid or weak? ANy info would help.
THanks.

Re: A6 2.7t model info
My dad had a 2002 a6 with the 2.7T motor and all I have to say is WOW! The powertrain is very strong, plus the car gets up and goes quite quickly. As far as reliability goes he never had a problem with it, although he got rid of it with only about 70k on the odometer in favor of the updated 2005 model. The only problem I could forsee with these kind of cars on the higher milage spectrum is the turbo. After about 150k or so the turbo will need a rebuild if not sooner to freshen it up becasue after all a turbo does put some stress on the motor that a n/a car does not experience. All I can say is this car is amazing with the 2.7T motor matted to the quattro, say goodbye to all your wet weather worries of handling! Hope my
helps.
