84 F150 - Wiper Problem

Well, I've driven this truck for 22 years and the wipers just recently started acting up. They will start to wipe but then quit about halfway into the cycle. In essence, they "freeze" in place and then later they will complete the cycle on their own - maybe the next day! Any suggestions - wiper motor, relay, linkage? Thanks for any help you can offer.

My 93 Chevy had the same problem.. It ended up being the switch board located on the motor. easy swap. May be the same issue you are having.

Re: 84 F150 - Wiper Problem

Hey Stewart,

I had the same problem with my 89 F150; turned out the wiper motor was shot. I don't know about your truck but mine was a real pain to replace. Once done everything works great. Good luck buddy!
