Thumbs up various problems - FIXED - explainations FYI

I have a 2003 Yukon SLT

Took it in for 45K service and some fixes.... There was a clunk when the trans shifted between first and second. The parking brake went all the way to the floor. CLICK CLICK CLICK when AC is on sometimes. Right side mirror defroster no worky [has indicators built in and defroster]. driver wondow clunks and hangs.

I bought the GMC extended warranty to 100K miles.

OK mirror is covered under warranty. Lists for more than $440. Nice. They checked it out, then replaced the mirror.

The tech took the rear wheel off, caliper loose, hat [rotor] off, cleaned everything and adjusted the parking brake. Now it just goes about halfway. It holds the truck - BONUS. Took it for a test drive and no more CLUNK when going from 1st to 2nd. Big bonus. Warranty covered work.

Driver door window clunks and sorta hangs when going up and down. The fix was to replace the regulator [motor]. Warranty covered the work. I was told to make sure to drop down and close all windows at least once a week so this wouldn;t happen again. It was explained to me that un used window motors cease to function after a couple years.

the CLICK CLICK CLICK of the AC is intermittant. I couldn;t get it to make the sound when I was there. They plugged in the tech gizmo computor thing and reset the door. They also reset the shifting and brakes along with some other things.... So far so good - no problems. Covered.

You gotta love the GMC extended warranty. I advise everyone to get one when you get your new trucks.
