caliper frozen help?

I have a frozen caliper on the rear passenger side. I want to replace it along with the pads and the rotor. How do I get it off without damaging anything else?

Do you mean drum? If you have rear drum brakes and can't get the drum off, be sure that you have removed any screws that may be holding it on. If it is still stuck, you will see threaded holes where you can use a bolt to push the drum off. Also be sure the parking brake is not applied.

If you do in fact mean that the caliper is stuck... if you are sure you have removed the bolts that hold it on, it should simply be a matter of pulling it off. If it is not coming, perhaps try to gently use a prybar to get it to break free, and be careful of the brake lines. You might want to try opening the bleeder valve so that you can push the pistons back in, then remove the caliper.

You may have to open the bleed screw to get the caliper to release. Bad flex lines can cause calipers to lock up. Did you release the parking brake?
