new problem

First off I'd like to say that I got pulled over TWICE today, within 3 minutes of each other, no sh*t. Both sheriffs too. only warnings tho, pediddle :S anyway. As I was approaching my house I turned the music down to pull in the driveway and I heard a funny sound comming from under the hood, it sounds borderline whiney, it sounded like I had the heat on, but I didn't... I didn't really think any of it, just turned it off and went in the house. Later the same night, completely forgot about it, went out to leave, and the same noise persists, not sure the magnatude, I leave, and as I'm going along, I notice it almost seems to dissappear if you turn the heater on... So I arrive at my destination, leave the car idling and I pop my hood to check the damage. It was dark so I couldn't see anything. But I believe the noise is coming from one of the belts there, almost like the whining of the pulley. I think this happened before, and the guy had mentioned it to me when I bought it. I think dad just sprayed some WD40 in there and it was fine. But tonight someone told me that would eff it up. So now I'm kinda confused. What is your guys' take on this subject, besides replacing my lights, lol.

Re: new problem

Check your belts and if its about that time just swap them out anyways. Frankly to me it could just be your fan kicking in and since you turned on the heat that got rid of alot of the engine heat so the fan was no longer needed and thats why you didnt hear it after you turned the heat on. My only reason for thinking this is my fan is retarded and does this to me all the time.

Re: new problem

lol. I only had one headlight. oh yeah, I forgot about that story. So basically I decided that I couldn't stand having yellow headlights, so what I did was I took the bulbs out of the hyperwhite harness and I jerry-rigged that wires together so that I could have true white lights, and then one of the bulbs came loose and fell out of the hol, and obviously it's full of gas so it busted and is not working anymore. So that caused me to only have one headlight. NOW HERES THE BEST PART, one night after that incidient (last night) I'm on my way home and I stop off at McDonalds, I go in and when I come out to leave, I turn my lights on, and I get nothing but halos.... I turn it off and back on, NOTHING.... so before I may have mentioned something about my left hi-beam not working...so anyway now I am relying on my ONE hi-beam light to illuminate the darkness. Yeah that sucks...anyway I have an idea, I'm going to rig up the old three-point harness things from my old headlights and somehow mount them inside these projectors, so I can just buy new lights and do the ole' push and twist way MUCCCCHHHH easier.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Re: new problem

Im calling belt on this one. You can almost hear the sound of a belt trying to jump teeth.
