weird brakes

Ive got an interesting problem here. My brake lights sometimes randomly will turn on (mostly during the middle of the night to leave me w/ a dead battery in the morning). The pedal is soo sensitive that the slightest touch will turn the brake lights on. Is there anyway I can adjust this? When driving if i lift the brake pedal with my feet i can get the rpms too jump about 100-200 rpms sometimes.

also i have horrible gas mileage its only 13 highway

Re: weird brakes

Look at where your brake pedal assembly is attached to it's mount under the dash, you should see a switch that comes in contact with it.
With one hand, push the brake pedal down.... with the other hand, push the switch toward the front until it's firmly seated in the clip.
Now gently pull the pedal back until the "clicking" stops. You should be set.
