Question Strut or something worse?

I recently purchased a 2003 Pontiac sunfire. I had noticed that the drivers side rear tire was bigger than all of the other tires. I thought it was an allignment issue. the more I drive it, I notice that when I make sharp turns to the left...turning the wheel all the way to the left, there is no noise at first, but when trying to straighten the tires back out and proceed forward, I can hear a scapping sound from the drivers side front tire and it feels like the tire doesn't want to straighten out. Does this make sence? Does anyone know what this could be and how dangerous it could turn out?

Re: Strut or something worse?

Welcome to AF!!

First of all when you say the tire was larger than the others do you mean that it was a different size or diameter? If it is an incorrect size for the car it can do all kinds of strange things to the suspension and the steering geometry. Make sure all the tires are the correct size and diameter and see what happens when you try to turn the car.
