this is such BULL. This is part of the instructions for an essay i have to write for a class. It's ridiculous.
see, this kind of language is known as JARGON, or INFLATED LANGUAGE.
its ridiculous, and is considered a form of lying. it conveys no information and serves only one purpose. to make the speaker SOUND smart.
note that i did not say that it is a certain rare form of linguistics originating in stereotypically educated classes, that involves many unknown quantities, which are multifold in purpose, however, predominately augmentative. and that these devices have developed such a relationship with their speakers anus such that if they were to be removed at this particular point in time the results would be unknown.
personally, i have no problem calling natives natives. that's what they are.
just as the entirety of the human race is commonly known as mankind. its not sexist. its language.


so here's the big question...
exactly how far can we push P.C. language. how P.C. can we get.
the way i see it, the P.C.-ness is a cycle. the more P.C. we get, the more offended people get, so we get more P.C.

hmm, I wonder if it shows age related bias on the speaker's part when such "disallowed" terms are used?

Some of us old farts grew up when those "bad terms" were part and parcel of everyday usage, even in scholarly literature.

I, too, often wonder how much PC people can be expected to assimilate at any given time.

Language evolves with successive generations, so it's probably no big deal. We don't generally speak the way they did in 1900 America, or even in Thoreau's day, for that matter.

Seriously though, PC is unneutered bovine feces. I can see responding to a request from someone to tone down the offensive term that bugs them; however to say everything in such a soft way as to offend no one causes the entire language to blur. Call a spade a spade, not an insignia found in a deck of cards with a stem, 2 rounded lobes and a point, which reflects no lightwaves. Come on.

i don't know if this girl im datin right now loves me or not she won't tell me or won't say nothin when i tell her '' i love u'' but she won't say nothin...... like every day she would call me or text me on my phone all day and when im with her she's always hyper round me and when other people round us she be all come i have no clue if she does or not....im just lost

Anyway. I say, buck the trend! Use ALL of those words! Say blacks and orientals! I would always purposely do that shit becasue i HATE PC so muhc, i didn't care if my grade suffered because of it. Colleges want you to think for yourself and be independant and buck the trend... unless they don't like it. Fuck them.
