91 TERCEl Will not Start

Once boosted it does make noise, but won't fully turn over. It sounds like it is almost going to start. Does anyone have anysuggestions for getting it started?

Re: 91 TERCEl Will not Start

Worn bushings in old starters can bind locking up the starter motor. Have you tried tapping on the starter motor with a hammer? Check your battery cables. Make sure they are clean and secure at both ends. Can you turn the motor by hand? A seized motor can also have these symptoms.

Use a socket or wrench on the crank pulley bolt and turn the motor clockwise 720 degrees. You may have to remove the spark plugs to make turning the motor easier.
