6 bolt engine swap

Do you need the first or second generation motor mounts when swaping a first Gen engine into a Talon tsi?

I dont know alot about engine swaps but from reading around on the forum I would use the 2nd gen motor mounts. This was due to the more robust combination of connecting rods and pistons. 6-bolt engines have been known to handle 500+ hp using the stock internals. Also, the 6-bolt versions were not known to crankwalkIt seems to me that the 6 bolt needs better mounts for more powerful engine. Please correct me if I am wrong anyone.

6 bolt = 1g

Also I'm sure he knew that information about strength and reliability if he's doing the swap...

True, but no 2g came with a 6 bolt like he suggested.

Edit: I had to edit this message since you did

Re: 6 bolt engine swap

but when you do the 6 bolt swap to a 2g body...does anything with the crank sensor effect the swap? i dont know...i was planning to do a 6 bolt swap to a 2g body in the near future, but i was wondering if there were going to be some wires just laying around...
