why is the Z and the RX-8 so ugly!

the Z is SO very ugly and the RX-8 is too, or was.... After you look at it for an hour it becomes pretty cool, except for the part I like a second ago, but not hate, the back. the sharp back thing above the rear lights isn't smooth, and it reminds me of an older car, not sharp smooth, but gaped sharp.

How can you think that cars like the Nissan Z are ugly and still like cars like BMW's X Coupe?

J/k, I respect your opinion about the cars. I think they both look great though. I especially like the Z. I agree with you that the rear tail-lights on the Z are kind of ugly, but it's nothing major.

As for the RX-8, I think it looks pretty good too. It's about time Mazda released another sports car. It's convenient how it can hold four adults too, though the car might look better without those fold out doors.

we are in the experimental era.
The manufacturers have run out of solid ideas and are looking for something new which would be 'cool' and 'hip'. But they are having difficulties finding these good ideas. Let's just wait.. I've heard that the New Camry is amazing. Haven't seen any pics though.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

I like both. I think the Z is a little too flashy, but I love the shape and the curves and the general look to it. I think the interior is a little too-futuristic, or too simplistic. I don't know.

I like the RX-8, but nowhere near as much as the 7. I think the rear hatch and the whole rear end in general is a little ugly, but I like the styling. I prefer the front to what the RX-Evolv looked like. I say they bring the RX-7 back to the states!
