96 computer chip(PCM) removal?

Has anyone had to remove their PCM from their tbird? It's behind the kick panel. I removed 2 panels already, but there's a third one that I can't figure out how to remove. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 96 computer chip(PCM) removal?

You should only have to remove the interior colored panel and then the black insulated panel behind that. It's tucked up behind those 2 inside a cavity in the body. You wont see the actual PCM at first only the GIAGANTIC harness that plugs into it. Both of those panels by the way are held on by push on fittings so you just have to gingerly pull them off without breaking them.
