oil change

i just bought a 2002 sebring 2.4l sohc with 51000 miles, and i was wondering before i do my first oil change on it is could i use a full synthetic oil on it with out worrying about spinning a bearing or anything like that?

Cool Re: oil change

I would stay away from a full synthetic with a car with that many miles on it,you can run into oil leaks when the seals have some wear on them,because the synthetic oil is so slippery it will slide past the seals, If you are set on synthetic for some reason,I would suggest going with a blend, really a synthetic oil isn't necessary unless you're gonna be doing some hard driving,any quality oil with a rating of gf4,or higher,if changed on a regular basis.3000 miles. will be good for it.
