'94 4x4

I'm having a problem with my 94 Blazer 4X4. I can engage the transfer case into 4 lo. I know this is engaging due to the obvious lower gearing. The front wheels do not lock in though. The front does not engage in 4 Hi or Lo. I have been reading posts on this site but haven't found any saying the transfer case shifts in but the front does not lock up. Any ideas?

Re: '94 4x4

is it pushbutton?

when I got my truck 2 weeks ago the 4x4 would not work, but when I pushed the 4lo button the transfer case would shift into low range, but the front wheels would not engage.

one of the vacuum lines on the actuator on the firewall was cut, so the front axle was not engaging.

easy fix for me, good luck

Re: '94 4x4

I had the same problem on a 1996 Blazer i would put it into neutrural push either 4hi or 4low and it would sound like it would engage but the front tires wouldn't pull at all i found out that it was a vacume line that had a hole in it. Replaced that and has worked ever since.
