93 ssei PCM / ECM

I checked the service codes on my Bonnie using the paper clip method. I got a 55 which I understand is the PCM / ECM. I see this is a $400 part. Can someone tell me where this is located? I want to check out the wiring around it make sure it is ok.

Re: 93 ssei PCM / ECM

55 is EGR: one of the three valves does not work properly. This is not operation critical..except if you have to pass EPA test..or if it is blocked opened (rare) which would recirculate exhaust at idle and cause rough idle. If you have no adverse symptoms, it can wait.

p.s: 55 is ECM with the 3.1 only

your ecm is under your dash behind your glove box. drop your duct work and you will see it, one bolt on strap holds it in.
How does yours run?
