96 Disc SE 7

hey DiSc dude's......
I was looking for an used Disc and found one, a 96 fully loaded. Now i'm bit worried about the maintainence as it already has some 90000 miles on it. And what will be the suggested retail price.
Please advise I'm new to the Disc world.

Thanks.

With 90k miles... I dont know... but if its fully kitted out then it should be alright. Im on 120k, and I have had a few major, easy fixable problems with mine.

sounds good, just let me stress, they are very touchy so if they need work i highly advise you get it done, and sometimes it can cost some big money if you don't have a warranty, we may need new heads for ours, we were quoted $4,000 for heads, very expensive. purchase an aftermarket warranty online

While I was shopping for my Disco in December there was also a 96 Disco that was for sale. I think that it had just over 100k miles on it, it wasn't on the lot he was having it looked at and getting it ready to sell. He told me that he was having a new transmission put in it (manual). And he thought that it might need some engine work. A couple of weeks later I went and looked at after I had bought mine. The 96 was very used. It was easy to see that the previous owner had taken it off road. There were larger more aggresive tires on it along with some small dents and dings around the bottom. He also had it wired up for more lights.
I don't know if the transmission was something that had been neglected or if it was something that just was due for service. But something to think about and some questions to ask the seller.
