Squeaking Sound
I have noticed recently a squeaking sound coming from my car. It doesn't always do it but sometimes. Does not matter whether the motor is cool or warm. I would highly doubt it is a belt seeing as how all the belts on it are brand new. I am almost wondering if it is a squeaky pulley. What is the solution to that? Do you want to spray WD-40? I am afraid that will be harmful do the belts. It sometimes squeaks very loud when when you accelerate hard but you can also hear it lightly squeaking at idle sometimes. Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Re: Squeaking Sound
you say the belts were just replaced? maybe one is not tight enough or maybe a bolt on one of the tensioners came loose. also could be your alternator is going out on you. since its worse under load i would start by checking the tension on your serpentine. if that looks good, get your alternator checked at advance auto. its free

Re: Squeaking Sound
Yeah it looks like my serpentine belt is a little loose. I just didn't think that was the problem because we just replaced every belt on the entire block before we put it in and tightend them. Thanks for the help.
