1991 Voyager speedometer problem
I have a 1991 Grand Voyager, and the speedometer quit working. The tach still works, but the milage does not work. I was told it could be a vehicle speed sensor. This van has 2, an input, and output. How can i find out which is bad, if any of them.

Re: 1991 Voyager speedometer problem
If I remember correctly you need a scanner or an oscilloscope to check out a VSS sensor. Better off just changing it. Less than $30 most places. Based on other threads it's going to be the output sensor.

Re: 1991 Voyager speedometer problem
You didnt mention anything about the transmission being stuck in 2nd gear, so I am going to assume you have a 3 speed transmission. There is only one speed sensor on the 3 speed and it is on the output shaft close to where passenger side axle goes into the transmission. There is one bolt that holds it in place, really easy to replace.
