2005 TSX problems

My room mate currently has a 2005 TSX Auto with an Injen CAI and Comptech Headers/Exhaust. Recently, he started having problems with the car, it is sputtering and flashing the CEL. He says it feels like the engine doesn't wanna stay running. He's taking it into Acura tommorow to get looked at, but is trying to see if he can figure out what is up right now. Hopefully, its just due to the cold weather, but when it was a whole hell of alot colder earlier this week, he had no problem with it. Has anyone had this problem recently, or have any clues?

We don't have a code reader, so that makes life difficult. Just a flashing CEL doesn't really say anything. My worry, that he echoes, is that whatever is wrong has something to do with the I/H/E. If that is the case, then no, it won't be covered by warrenty, as under the Magnuson-Moss Warrenty Act, if they can trace the problem directly to the aftermarket parts, they can deny warrenty claim.

Do you have Autozone in your area? They just give you a code reader, you plug it in and that will be it. Takes 2 minutes to do.
