Fluid change 1993 raNGER Differential
With 130,000 km on the 1993 Ranger 2wd, I intend toi change the gear oil.
Questions: 1. is a gasket available, or do you ise form in place compound? If so, which one works best? 1. any best practises for cleaning the gears& housing? 3. Advise on the best fuild viscosity & brand ? thanks Reg |

Some use silicone sealer and some use gaskets but with sealer it has to be real clean. 80/90 gear grease for rear rear end and if traction-lok add friction modifier or use tract-lok grease..

Suggest you do a real good inspection of the gears. At 130K, there has to be some wear and tear. Also check the old diff oil for any metalic debris.
