The unveiling of XP1 LM...

Nothing too exciting, but still a cool piece of F1 history in my mind.

Click for larger version

I found this image within an article on the F1 LM published in Sport-Auto magazine from January 1996. It appears to show Gordon Murray and David Clark pulling the cover off the LM at its unveiling party. I have never seen this shot or really any shot from that event before - in fact I didn't even know there was such an event.

There is a caption next to the photo that reads:

"Dévoilée en grande pompe à quelques privilégiés par Ron Dennis (à gauche), Gordon Murray (de dos) et David Clark (directeur commercial), la LM aurait déjà trouvé ses cinq acheteurs."

Roughly translated it says:

"Revealed in large pomp with some privileged people by Ron Dennis (on the left), Gordon Murray (of back) and David Clark (sales manager), the LM would have already found its five purchasers."

Enjoy!

Re: The unveiling of XP1 LM...

It makes sense - I had just never seen mention of it before.

Thanks for the additions.
