Difference: 180sx and 240sx

currently i have a 95 240sx but im thinking about going old skool i found a jdm 1991 180sx right hand drive and i was just wondering what the difference is between the 180sx and the 240sx because i want to put a new bodykit on it and i cant find bodykits for the 180sx only for the 240 so im wonderin since they look exactly the same can i just use the 240 parts and the other question was how can i tell that its 2dr hatchback and not just a 2dr from looking at pics is there anyway to tell??

ohh whoa yea haha sorry dude no i have 95 240sx but im not talkin about that car im talkin about like a 91 240sx compared to a 91 180sx then would the kits match?? and how can i tell if its a hatchback or a 2dr non-hatch??

yeah the 180sx kits should fit the 89-94 240sx. 180sx's are all hatchbacks if I'm not mistaken. The kit should specify if it's for a coupe or a hatch, the main difference is usually the rear piece

why not just sell the car you have now and buy a 91 240. cheaper and you wont have to deal with being on the wrong side of the drivethru. not to mention it's UNREGISTERABLE.

just hearing bodykit makes me cringe. 180sx aero ftw. yes 89 - 94 240's are the same as far as the body goes. and all 180sx's are hatchbacks, the japanese version of the usdm coupe is the silvia. i just dont understand why you would buy one of these ricer body kits for a 240, nevermind a 180. factory 180sx aero looks 10x better, check it out. youre entitled to your own opinion i guess.

oh im not lookin to put some ricer kit on it at all i want to do another s15 conversion except on this model haha thatd be crazy if i could find a s15 rear end somewhere that would actually fit haha id have the sickest car ever i dont think they make back ends for them tho lol but yea see the car i have i bought it like that now i want to do this all on my own you kno but im in canada so yes i can register my car haha thats a good point tho i cant go thru the drivethrough!! hahaha that sucks

s15 front with a s15 rear.....that would be a s15. Mating all that non sense on a s13 chasis would not be sick. It would be ugly as hell. S13's arn't really considered old school yet. I believe most people call a car thats 20+ years old, old school. Plus if you plan on doing a s15 front on the hatchback, you wouldnt need to look for 240sx body kits. They wont fit the s15 front.

A hatchback has a hatch. A coupe has a conventional style trunk(no glass connected to it). My car is a coupe if you get confused, click the link for a pic.

The 180sx was made until 98 in some countries so it's definitely not oldskool. A 91 hatchback is already 15 years old, but if you really want old skool get a 240Z or 280Z from the 70's.

dont say that. we talk like 240sx's are rare, but they are like civics compared to datsuns. 240's are already in the hands of many "unfit" owners... lets not put datsuns in those hands.
