which is better

i was wondering which car is considered better, the stealth rt/tt or the vr4, and not based on personal opinion, but what mags said thru out the production years. also does ne1 have ne mags with articles, i'd love to buy one, preferably with the stealth, but i'd take either.

Each car is pretty much identical. And the only way you could say one is better than the other is in opinion.

Stealth is a hair lighter and the VR4 has active aero. Other than that pretty much indentical.

Re: which is better

what is this active aero, cause my car's(stealth) spoiler moves at different speeds, i have a video my friend made, wnt post it, even if i knew how, but i like the stealths looks over the 3k, but the 3k just seems smaller for some reason. was there a difference in price wen they were new?

Re: which is better

Yes there was a price difference when new. The 3000gt cost more. Also if your Stealths spoiler was moving it was just wind making it flap. Only the 3000gt had AA and the rear wing would raise at speed as well as a air dam in front would drop making more downforce.

As for the headlight question there are ways to get around changing the bumper but it will require cutting and look like ass. The hood is shaped differently around the top of the headlight so no you need to change the hood.

Re: which is better

well, another difference is that you will probably pay a little more for the 3000gt. probably because mitsu made such a huge deal about it that it became a little more public than the stealth. if you are seriously looking for the better car between the two though, the differences are small, they will corner the same (not real sure on the active aero's advantage over the stealth's spoiler but it cant be huge) and they will come out of the 1/4 mile the same.

Re: which is better

^not exactly. The fastest stock 3/S to date is still a 96' Stealth that ran a 13.02@ihavenoideawhatthemphwas.

Re: which is better

Yes, but that was a factory freak. They are hte same exact car, with only a few tiny differences. Performance-wise, no difference, save for a few less lbs on the Stealth, the driver going on a diet can overcome that difference.

Please read our FAQ.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: which is better

91-93 the stealths are better
94+ the 3000GT's are better

Why you ask, because I think those are the best looking.

Re: which is better

like stated, they are mechanically identical. the styling and price are the only real differences and that of course is a matter of personal opinion and bank account.

Hmm, I'd have to say that if the 96' Stealth came with the 99' front end it would be the best looking. The 2nd gen Stealth rear bumper is t3h sex!

Re: which is better

Different strokes for different folks, I hate the look of the 94+ stealth.
