Aftermarket CD Player
Im planning on getting a new cd player for my 00 GTP. Im wondering if anyone ever got there stereo stolen out of there car without the face plate on it? I was wondering this because isnt the stereo useless without the faceplate it came with?
Thanks for the info |

Re: Aftermarket CD Player
Yes it is basically useless but theives can get their hands on the faceplate of popular modules and then it isn't so useless and a lot of people leave their faces in the car in the glovebox (not a good idea). So easy steal for them but if you have a car alarm with your cd player or something that looks like an antitheft device they usually won't mess with it

Re: Aftermarket CD Player
if your gonna keep it in your glove box at least lock the glove box. otherwise you should always bring it in the house
another thing is that when it starts to get really cold outside if you leave the faceplate in the car it tends to move REEEEEEEAAAAALLLLLYYYYYYY SLOOOOOOOOWWWLLLLYYYYYYY for the first 10 minutes till it warms up so its wise to bring it inside on cold night or days as well

Re: Aftermarket CD Player
I got a red blinking light so hopefully the thieves wont mess with my car. Its bs that people gotta do this. Go out and get a job if you want something

When I registered the car for insurance, my insurance company did not give us the 20% anti-theft discount as the VIN didn't indicate so; I copied pages from the owner manual on "content anti-theft" and "PassKey", they gave the discount to me anyway. |
