where is the egr located on 2.3l

where is it at on the 94 2.3l. the mechanic that put on the chain and gears said that there was one. He wanted to bet that there was one. I said ok for the labor charge for chain and gears. He couldn't find one. engine only misses after warmed up under heavy acceleration. maybe the fuel pressure regulator is plugged?

The 2.3L and 3.3L engines do not have an EGR valve.

Thanks. I can already see my retirement now. Will be easy to make a living betting mechanics as to whether or not there is an egr valve.
