4WD in reverse only!

It is the first snowstorm of the season here and I just discovered my 96 2500 Ram CTD has 4wd in reverse only! If I put tranny in D, 1, or 2 there is no 4wd in 4H or 4L....shift tranny into R and front diff is engaged and works perfect in hi and lo range. Any body seen this or does anyone have any idea?

Not familiar with your particular truck but I'm gonna guess that the locking hubs (assuming you have them) are frozen/bad.
