Head-up Display

This question mainly relates to the Rendezvous, but I'm hoping that someone here has the knowledge that would apply. I've put a thread in the Rendezvous section, but it's very quiet over there. Our Park Avenue has the Head-Up Display and my wife loves it. Our Rendezvous does not have that option installed (it was an option, but our Rendezvous is a plain vanilla model). If anyone has ever tried to install the HUD on their PA, they may be able to shed light on this subject. My wife wants me to see if it could be added to her car. We realize that the windshield is different...has to have the reflective section for the display to show up. And we know that the dash pad would need to be from a model that had the HUD. What I am wondering is whether the wiring may be there, but with nothing connected to it or perhaps if there is a connector that is not plugged into. Our Rendezvous did not come with the auto-dim mirror, but all the wiring was there, I just bought the mirror at a salvage yard, installed it and plugged it in and voila', we have the option now. I'm hoping that it may be a similar situation for the HUD. Every once in a while, you can find the HUD unit for sale on eBay. Before I get too gung-ho about this, I'm looking to see if anyone can share their experience. Thanks in advance.
