93 silverado dash lights not working

I have a 93 silverado and the dash lights not working. when you use the turn signal all gages boucne. I have changed the dimmer switch, headlight switch, interior lamp reisat, have checked vehicle and body grounds. nothing have worked.

Check your turn signal/clearance light bulbs, also check the ignition switch.

we changed the turn signal switch, turn the truck on and had dash lights.
turn the truck off and back on and no dash lights. changed the ignition switch and nothing changed no dash lights. also checked the clearance lights also and nothing changed. any help would be appreciated.

My 93 Grand Sierra GMC which is basically the same truck in Canada has developed exactly the same problem at 275000 km. Fuse checked and all ok but no dash lites. Would love to solve the problem.

You may have to change out the Dash cluster.

try giving the dash, above the instrument cluster, a good smack. my dash lights and speedometer go out periododically and this seems to cure the problem temporaraly (sp?). was told i need to check the contacts behind the instrument cluster but haven't got around to it yet!

Well I did the deed. Second good smack and lights are back. I may never get around to taking the dash appart. Thanks.

yeah i have an 88 silverado and i put an HID headlamp conversion (the ones with the ballasts and ignitors and all) on my truck then every now and again my dash lights and guages would go off, and the only thing that would glow would be the two blinker lights, my bright light indicator and the check engine light.. so i would turn off my parking lights and the guages would work, but when i hit the blinker, my guages would bounce and the same lights (blinker, highs & CE light) would flash... now it is always like that, so i took it to the chevrolet dealership that my parents own and they STILL arent too sure what it is

.... so if anyone could tell me what to tell the mechanic to let him know how to fix it, i would really appriciate it.
